SERV Centers of New Jersey, a division of SERV Behavioral Health System, will receive a federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to implement a CCBHC program, Partners in Wellness, in Passaic County.

Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) provide community-based mental and substance use disorder services to all who seek help, but are particularly valuable for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI), those with severe substance use disorders, adolescents with serious emotional disturbance, and those with co-occurring mental, substance use or physical health disorders.

“SERV’s Partners in Wellness CCBHC program plans to target a wide range of access points to maximize screening opportunies for adults and children with acute needs, as well as those who may fall through the cracks and cannot access existing services for multiple reasons,” said Pauline Simms, Chief Operating Officer of SERV Centers of New Jersey.

Using evidence-based approaches, the Partners in Wellness program will provide comprehensive, person-centered and culturally appropriate services to vulnerable populations in need of behavioral health supports that are tailored and managed based on individual/family needs, risk and level of functioning.

SERV Centers of New Jersey was founded in 1974 and currently provides residential, outpatient and community partial care services for individuals with SMI in six counties in New Jersey.
