Michael A. Kovacs is secretary for the SERV Behavioral Health System Board of Directors, a member of the Board for SERV Achievements, and chair of the Personnel Committee.
Mr. Kovacs is a financial services industry veteran with decades of experience across specializations such as fixed income, data analysis, securities, as well as software, hardware and bond valuation infrastructure. He has demonstrated a consistent track record of building and developing high-performing and innovative teams. His most recent engagement at Bloomberg LP was as Global Director within their Fixed Income Credit and Capital Structure Division. In this capacity, Mr. Kovacs was tasked with hiring, building and directing a team of more than 25 analysts in support of a new strategic initiative to analyze credit metrics for 2,000+ global companies. He was able to successfully consolidate operations across asset classes, oversee implementation of a Jira-based ticketing and project management infrastructure, and lay the foundation for enhanced procurement/extraction of market-moving data. Mr. Kovacs also led offshore teams, which comprised more than 50 offshore analysts, and championed the development of a new suite of Business Intelligence (BI) metrics to support KPI analysis. The end results of these efforts provided new and differentiating content to further solidify Bloomberg's position as a market leader in this space.
He is an alumnus of The College of New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance. He is a member of American Corporate Partners, through which he helps to mentor military veterans as they re-enter the private sector.
Mr. Kovacs has served for nearly 25 years on the Board of Trustees of Colonnade Pointe in Princeton. Over the last two decades, he has held the positions of trustee, treasurer, vice president, and most recently, president of the Association Board.
